What is photography? What are photographs? Are they memories frozen in time? Are they the past forever living in the present?
“Forever” art exhibition addresses the problem of life which is uncertainty. Love ones come and go but memories of them are left behind. The world is always in a cycle that repeats itself numerous times in many different ways.
A bitter cycle it may seem as the world gets cold but I’ve come to see the beauty in it. Everything repeats but never in the same way. It is always much intense and vibrant than the past. Artists inspires other artists to be much more powerful in their craft. Innovators inspires new innovators to take it a notch higher. Ideas get better and better. And it can go on forever and forever.
In my life I have grown to love photography. Taking photos of anything that amazes me and gives me good feelings which helps me to understand life more. Reading many books and researching the mysteries of life and nature gave me an idea of creating a collection of art that is not only beautiful but imparts truth, knowledge, peace and wisdom.
“Forever” consist of black and white prints placed in a collage of 9 photographs. Painted on this collage of prints are 5 color spirals placed in a specific order. Because of this each art piece can be joined into another set of 9 to create a larger body of work. 9 represents completion and lets us know that another cycle is soon to begin. 5 represents change, the world is constantly changing and so are the colors, our taste, what attracts our eyes, what we love hearing, our sense of touch and the aromas life offers. The spirals represents eternity, the wheel in the wheel. It creates harmony, motion and energy.
If we can understand that life is always in a cycle and everything that exist now will continually grow into something more beautiful. Though the world may seem bad there is good that keeps everything in harmony. As we view the world around us do not see in black and white any longer but appreciate the colors, the harmony and the beauty that will forever change.
